The Aquanaut Dive Club’s philosophy is based on providing the
right sort of diving and doing so in as comfortable and as sociable
a manner possible.
Therefore, we exclusively use hard boats, all of which conform to the
Maritime Coastguard Agency safety code of practise. All boats will be
equipped with a self-inflating life raft to carry the maximum number
of passengers for which the boat is registered. Life jackets, safety
harnesses, first aid kits and flares are of course also carried as standard.
All boats will carry oxygen and skippers will be fully qualified in
O2 administration.
For the most part, boats chartered carry diver lifts, making re-entry
a pleasurable as opposed to a potentially DCI-inducing experience.
Boats chartered are a minimum of 35ft in length and tend either to
be off-shore 105s or Lochins.
All skippers give full boat briefings before diving.
We challenge you to be any less than 100% happy with any of the boats
that we charter.
